Norwoodville Baptist Church, we believe that every born-again Christian should be growing in the grace and knowledge of our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). One of the ways that we can grow in our faith is through our adult Sunday
School classes. How well do we know our Bibles? Do we know why we believe what we do? Can we show others the basis of
our beliefs from the pages of Scripture? In Sunday School, we will be looking at the basics of the Christian
Faith. Lord willing, we will be covering the topics listed below in the weeks to come. Salvation . . . a closer look at some important passages Baptism . . . why we believe what we do Church membership: What's so important about joining a local church? What is the biblical teaching concerning tongues and other sign gifts? What does the Bible say about the role of men and women in the church? Can you lose your salvation? What about the “difficult passages”? What does the Bible teach about the rapture and the millennium? What is the biblical pattern for missions? What does it mean to be a Baptist? What is legalism? How can I interpret the Bible correctly? What tools can help me do this? What is the role of deacons in the church? What are spiritual gifts, and am I using mine? What do other denominations/religions believe? What does the Bible say about issues like capital punishment or abortion? What is a biblical church?
